Google Voice Integration

Sync google voice data with nimble. For example, if I call a contact that is in Nimble with google voice I would like that call to be logged in the contacts activity along with the google voice call transcription and audio playback. This would be a huge defining feature for Nimble that no one else is doing right now. No more logging calls when they log themselves. The amount of time this would save me is just ridiculous.

Ok, I have been using Google Voice with Nimble for a year now with no issue. My approach is using Chrome for the browser, Google voice for Chrome as an app, and making sure all phone numbers are formatted as 333-444-5555. This will display as a hyperlink directly to Google Voice. Skype has a browser app that will do the same. Nimble does not integrate or link to the call history, but does it need to?

Can you provide some instructions on what David Koeneman describes below. I cant get it to work - can the same thing be done for Skype/PBX systems?

First off, I want to say that I like using Nimble. Its been 6 months since your last update regarding Google Voice integration. Has there been any movement since July?

The ability to track calls as logged activities linked to the contact would be a HUGE benefit if we're going to consider this as a true CRM solution. The manual steps required to log calls for our high call volume business adds up to a lot of time expended.

I would have to agree with Daniel; This would create a true communications dashboard feature that would serve various types of Nimble Users...

You can use Google Voice with Nimble today. Simply setup your Google Voice account, view Nimble in Chrome as your browser, install the Google Voice extension in Chrome, and all phone numbers in Nimble will become hyperlinks to Google Voice. Make sure you are logged-into Google Voice before calling. Then, Click and call. I have been using this for the past 3 months and it works great.

One operational point, if you want to use Google Talk. Make sure that extension is install as well, and make sure you have both Gmail and Google Voice open as tabs in Chrome along with Nimble. Enjoy.

i want the ability to click on the contacts in nimble and make a call via google voice

i would like there to be a google voice integration with auto dial

I raised my hand and says yes yes and yes, this is what we should have. My idea would be that calls made with my Android phone should pop up in Nimble as well, with the question if I would like to add a note

I would LOVE a sync and log with google voice. Please!!

Having voice integration in nimble is HUGE. David hits the major points on this. A fabulous integration would be something like w-systems DialPad, which works with GoldMine and (unconfirmed but checking) Google Voice.

There are several channels of communication into Nimble. Outside of traditional CRM, Nimble grabs social. But the true constant is direct communication with the customer Voice, email and text. You can manage and control your business inside Nimble, but nothing happens until we "talk" to the customer. I vote VOIP or voice integration into Nimble.

Just having the text messages synced would be helpful

Integrate Nimble with an advanced cloud based PBX such as Ringio - www.ringio.com - which offers proper advanced call handling, call redirect, etc., etc., etc...........all the functionality that a traditional switchboard has but no hardware is involved. Google Voice is great for a single user but if Nimble is to be used in a company environment then more advanced features are required. I agree with the previous posters, integration with Voice would be a huge differentiator for Nimble

I would think that Google would carry most of the weight here on the call logging, voice messaging, sms and more. My vision would be some type of link to dial a phone number stored in Nimble for Google Voice, then a view with Nimble of the Google Voice records. I am not sure how the Gmail works, but would think it work something like that. That is my vision. Could be more complicated than that. ; )

Thank you for putting my idea up for review. I am sure this isn't an easy task but it would kick ass. Sales people and small business owners spend countless hours/days inputting notes and logging calls. This feature would eliminate the need and would be product defining feature. Thanks again for the consideration.
