Lip injections and saxophone playing??
I am a private saxophone teacher.
I have an adult student who has been with me almost two years now. She is both attractive and wealthy. So she comes into her lesson today with lip injections. As you can imagine, they bruised and hurt when she played.
Has anyone dealt with this before, should I be concerned? Or is it just going to hurt the first week? I both don’t want her to hurt herself playing or to ruin the goal of the injection by it getting bruised.
This is very new territory for me. Thanks for any info!

Perhaps you could suggest that your student take a break from playing for a few days while her lips heal. In the meantime, she could try using ice or a cold compress to help reduce any swelling or bruising. I hope this helps, and best of luck with your student's progress! By the way, I came across this link to a Botox treatment provider in Calabasas, CA if you or your student are interested https://onsitemedspa.com/med-spa-services-in-calabasas-ca/botox-treatment-in-calabasas-ca/. It might also be a good idea for her to consult with the professional who administered the lip injections to see if there are any specific precautions she should take while playing saxophone.
