Enable deals to be monthly recurring revenue, instead of just one time revenue events
For SaaS and other similar sales, deals are monthly recurring revenue. Some are 1 or 2 year contracts, so I could put the total deal size in as the amount, but some of those clients will cancel prior to the end of the contract. Other deals are truly month to month, so I can't guess how long they'll stay subscribed. Please create a way for users to select a recurring payment type deal & then we can use the monthly figure we'll be getting (or annual), and then reports could show lots of good info based on that. In connection with this, it would be nice to show monthly recurring revenue for a deal (MRR) but also have a field for the profit of a deal. Some companies (like mine) know exactly how much gross profit (less cost of goods sold) is in each MRR deal, so letting us list that would enable lots of cool reports that show the MRP (Monthly Recurring Profit) for all closed deals, or for a particular stage in the pipeline, or better yet, using the probability percentage, how much MRP is likely to close (i.e. probabilities x MRP) - etc.

This is exactly what we need as well and in fact its the only deal breaker that we would have as we have 60% of our revenue recurring and dont want our sales people to recreate deals every time. Just spoke to Sales Force today and of course they have it. However thier system is just not light enough on other areas!
