  1. add team notifications

My team and I would like to update each other with news about a contact or meeting we held. When updating our client history, it would be nice to be able to ping members of my team through Nimble about important updates.

Possible a drop down menu within my company's account with the option to choose multiple team members to communicate this new note to. Like getting an email for a new task assigned, my team would get an email about a new note logged or deal logged about an important contact.

  2. Need to preserve formatting, spacing in notes

I take long notes on my calls with different prospects. These notes cannot be saved in Nimble. They lose their formatting, bold, etc. Right now I use Evernote to store the notes, but that's difficult because everyone on the team has to open Evernote to see my call notes.

You really need better note taking abilities. Bold, formatting, numbered/bulleted lists, really just basic HTML formatting, the same as any email program. And the should not pop up in a tiny window with all the text running together.

  3. Gmail Widget: Query new contacts and pre-populate name fields.

    Hi There,

Happy Nimble customer here with a feature request to improve the Gmail Contact widget. I email a lot prospects and wish to import, and tag them all WHILE emailing them.

Many times my favorite Rapportive feature, the "import to nimble" button, doesn't appear or fails to import. So my alternative options are:

    1) Load up the nimble website, browse to my sent Email messages. Open the sent message and about 90% of the time Nimble successfully queries and finds this prospects LinkedIn account. Thus, pre-populating their name, title, business name, etc. All I have to do is click…

  4. Show tags in search results

Give me the option to show Tags in search results. It would help with 1) ensuring my tags were added correctly (which has been an issue for me) and 2) allow me to quickly determine who to contact (as I use tags for that)

  5. Allow customers to select their own important contacts

The current "3 per day" is placing all control in the hands of Nimble - instead of where it should be - in the hands of the user.

This is a serious limitation of functionality.

  7. intelligently generate stay in touch reminders based on ongoing interactions instead of scheduling reminders via task due dates

When NimbleCRM asks if a contact is important and how often I want to stay in touch with that contact, I would like Nimble to remind me if I fall out of contact with that person, not tell me to follow up with someone on an arbitrary date set in the future.

    Here's how it would work.

    1. I interact with an important contact via email.
    2. Nimble asks me if this contact is important, I say "Yes"
    3. Nimble presents the choice, "Help me stay in touch: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually"
    4. I select "Quarterly"
    5. Nimble starts tracking how long it's been…

  8. Enable mass delete of contacts through holding down shift key between edges

There seems no easy way to "clean up" the contact list - Propose that the DB does what most do and allow us to select one, hold the shift through to the next one we want to key and highlight a whole list for deletion easily.

As it is a clean up seems too awesome a task - or am I missing something?

  9. Next Micro-Step After Merge

... allow my Merge action to be followed by my being back in the List.

Right now: After I click merge, I am placed into the merged resulting contact. What I really want to do is to see the list from where I left it, so I can continue. Nimble forces me to do yet another click and wait for the list to update

  10. have a description field in contacts so we can place long-form notes that should always stay front and center.

I work in a company that is all about building relationships. Part of building relationships is knowing things about that person such as their goals and motivations, their working styles and preferences, that stay fairly consistent over time.

I would like to be able to write these kinds of notes and have them show up directly in a contact's profile in Nimble for my entire team to have access to. Right now there is no good way to display this kind of very important information.

  11. I would like the ability to designate contacts as important, rather than being asked.

Rather than being asked (through some cycled time intervals), I'd like to designate contacts as "Important" on my own.

  12. Show the Stay In Touch button on all contacts, not just the contacts surfaced on the Today tab.

i really like the new stay in touch button next to contacts on the Today tab, it should be available on any contact anywhere in the system.

  13. Provide a single row per contcat List View option

It would be great to have the option to display contacts in a single row list view, resembling a spreadsheet, with fields displayed in sortable columns. Better still, very handy when creating a mailing or call list, each row could have a check box. Check the ones you don't want in the final list, then select Invert Selection and the system selects all those contacts except the ones you checked. Then select "make list current" and now those unchecked contacts have gone. Even better still if only the top half of the screen showed the rows of the list, but…

  15. Allow tags to be edited in list view

Rather than having to open each contact to edit their tags, it would be so much quicker to be able to edit them in the list view.

  16. Capture and auto populate contact info into Nimble

I would love the ability to capture a contact's name, email, phone, address etc from the web or snap a picture of a business card and have it automatically populate into Nimble.

This is a function of Windows Based Contact Capture or Chrome Contact Clipper for Evernote.

  17. Stay in touch

I love Nimble, but I do miss the Stay In Touch feature with Salesforce.com. A way to send an email for a contact to validate or update their information, and remove bounced records where the email is no longer valid

Would love this feature in Nimble. Perhaps there is a way to do it through MailChimp to send out information on contacts and have people update it through some portal. I do not know but would love it.

  18. Recently contacted - shoule work for new contacts you add

I use gmail and if I email someone who is not in Nimble and then add them to Nimble, they will not show at the top of my recently contacted list. They only show up at the top if I email them after I add them to Nimble. Nimble should use the email date/time to determine the sort order of "recently contacted"

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing in.

If you have your Gmail connected to Nimble and the contact information for the user you emailed, they will appear at the top of the “Recently Contacted” list.

We already use the email date/time to show sort order, so if you add this user and their email address to Nimble, they’ll appear on top of the “Recently Contacted” list.

If you continue to have issues, please reply back to care@nimble.com and we will troubleshoot and investigate this issue for you.

    Best regards,

    Joseph

  19. defualt contact field values

This has been said before by others, but it is extremely annoying to have the default phone category set to "home fax". None of my contacts has a home fax. The default should be set to "work" for a business CRM. And same goes for email and address, both are set to "home" by default. all of these should be set to "work" by default if the default can't be set by the user. Until then, it means that every contact entered requires extra effort.

    Hi Doug,

We just released an update today to fix this issue, but we chose “Main” to be the primary field value for Phone numbers.

Here’s the new hierarchy we have for field values:

    Phone modifiers in this order:
    1. Main
    2. Work
    3. Mobile
    4. Home
    5. Work Fax
    6. Home Fax
    7. Other

    Email modifiers
    1. Work
    2. Personal
    3. Other

    Address modifier
    1. Work
    2. Home
    3. Other

If you have any questions, please write back to me at care@nimble.com and I’ll be happy to help.

    Best regards,

    Joseph

  20. Allow users to set default fields on contact records

Right now, when we create a contact from scratch, when we enter the phone number it automatically gets assigned the "work fax" label. We have to then go and edit the information. Also, if we do enter a fax number for the account it automatically gets displayed as the default "phone number" in the at-a-glance information or the contact, resulting in a frustrating experience. I think this is is a bug that needs to be addressed.

    Hi George,

We have fixed this issue in Nimble and have added a hierarchy for default field values that appear at the top of a contact record.

This is the hierarchy we have in place for fields values that default to the top of contact records.

    Phone modifiers in this order:
    1. Main
    2. Work
    3. Mobile
    4. Home
    5. Work Fax
    6. Home Fax
    7. Other

    Email modifiers
    1. Work
    2. Personal
    3. Other

    Address modifier
    1. Work
    2. Home
    3. Other

If you have any questions, please write back to me at care@nimble.com and I’ll be happy to help.

    Thank you,

    Joseph
