intelligently generate stay in touch reminders based on ongoing interactions instead of scheduling reminders via task due dates
When NimbleCRM asks if a contact is important and how often I want to stay in touch with that contact, I would like Nimble to remind me if I fall out of contact with that person, not tell me to follow up with someone on an arbitrary date set in the future.
Here's how it would work.
- I interact with an important contact via email.
- Nimble asks me if this contact is important, I say "Yes"
- Nimble presents the choice, "Help me stay in touch: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually"
- I select "Quarterly"
- Nimble starts tracking how long it's been since I've interacted with that important contact
- Anytime that contact and I email (or linkedin message or facebook message or tweet) each other, Nimble's resets its record to 0 days since last contact
- If I go a whole quarter without interacting with that important contact, Nimble reminds me
- Nimble's reminders are presented under Other Engagement Opportunities as "It has been a quarter since you last interacted with Important Client. Ask how they are doing today!" with easy links to twitter, facebook, linkedin and email straight from the dashboard.
I believe this system would meet the needs of Nimble users much better than the current system, and capitalizes on Nimble's existing strengths as the one and only true social networking CRM. It is intelligent, more true to Nimble's word choice and marketing (help me stay in touch quarterly does not mean tell me to contact this person 3 months from now, what happens if I emailed my contact a week before the reminder?), and requires minimal change in UX/UI.

Hi Sam,
We are currently experiencing a bug with the updating of interactions for "Stay in Touch", and we expect it to be fixed by the end of this week, around 10/11/13.
Best,
Joseph

I love the reminder feature, but it does not seem to reset after an interaction like a message through email, linkedin, facebook...etc.
It would be awesome to make the reset function work!
Thanks,
