Add project management
I love what Nimble does, but I would love to see some sort of project management tool. The opportunities module is similar, but I need a way to track tasks and activities based on a project level. Even better would be a way to link multiple contacts to a single project.
Hello,
We’ve released a multiple deal pipeline feature today for Nimble which means you can add a separate pipeline for projects you want to manage in a Kanban board view.

Cheers,
Joseph

I need this to either be able to move to projects with a templates that can be applied or to allow for zapier to have more trigger points then just a new contact added. Most times the trigger point for a project to be added to a project management software, like Asana that we are using, is the closing of the deal since the project to "complete the circle" as David put it would be the client onboarding process.

Would def pay more for this!! Nimble is the perfect CRM, has calendar, task, notes, everything is so perfect. . . I just need to be able to move deals to project and have task on the projects to complete the circle.

What's happening? Are there plans to integrate with a project mangement like Basecamp or are you going to create your own? Getting tired of login to two systems that are not connected. It is like running two separate businesses. Don't want to move from Nimble.

Integration with Harvest would be awesome - since there are APIs on both sides, this should be relatively easy to do. I would advise Nimble to stick to their core business - which is CRM, and let others handle the CRM. But offer better integration with the most popular CRM tools so a lead becomes a project with proper contacts, etc.

I've just signed up to Nimble. Love it BUT..... it needs to convert sales leads (deals) to projects if you win the gig. I don;t want to use two systems. I'm self employed and haven;t the time or inclination to bugger about.
It strikes me that the same process used for deals could be duplicated (i.e stages) that as soon as you win the deal it becomes a project. This basic addition would be really helpful and could be enhanced as life goes on.
I'm getting so frustrated trying to find the right CRM and I was hoping Nimble was the one.
Can you please update this as it has been under review since 20/9/12! That's a fair while!
Thanks
Graham

Any update on this? Project management (or integrations with PM) is extremely basic to CRM. Since this idea was shared in 2011 and marked as under review in 2012, is there any progress on this?

Agreed. TaskRay does this well for Salesforce, and Liquidplanner has a nice app as well. Smartsheet is good. They all have API's that could fit well with nimble. Probably task ray the most since it has a kan ban style that fits well with the style already used by nimble in its deals tabs.

Would absolutely love the functionality to turn deals into projects. The activities function is almost obsolete without being able to segment tasks and project manage.
As a business we're thinking of leaving Nimble because of this!

As is, it appears that Nimble is designed to help people talk to prospects - it's just another social media program. You have great tools to help develop relationships and even track opportunities but that's it.
What this application needs is a way to write proposals/quotes (or at least a better way to track them) and then, MORE IMPORTANTLY, a way to manage the actual projects that we are trying to get with the program.
Right now it seems like once a prospect becomes a client Nimble no longer cares about them.
I'm trying with all my might to avoid signing up for Salesforce but the more research I do, the more I realize that they actually GET IT - they understand that it's important to prospect AND to manage clients.
Please, help me avoid going to the dark side....make Nimble a CLIENT CAPTURE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM not just a PROSPECTING TOOL.

I believe Nimble should continue to focus on contact management and integrations should provide the actual link to project management platforms (though a project management platform could be developed in parallel).
But linking contacts into a single project and being able to define milestones and assigns contacts to those milestones would be very helpful. Taking it a step further, it would be very helpful to be able to "switch" to a project within Nimble and have all actions (ex. activities) be automatically tied to that project and the contacts associated to it. Within each project, the ability to designate contacts to various subject areas (ex. VCs, Idea generators, Sales, etc.) would help solve some contact management obstacles other tools haven't yet overcome.

Yes, this would be very helpful. I am migrating from Insightly to Nimble. Insightly allows you to convert Deals (which they refer to as Opportunities) to Projects, thereby retaining all of the related information and using it as a project management tool. Thanks for your consideration.

+1 on Asana or built in pm tool - this would make nimble unique in the crm market

Integration with Asana would be an option if Nimble doesn't plan to build out their own tool.

Please, I need this badly. Without this tool, my husband is either going to make me use spreadsheets or I am going to make him get salesforce.

This could be an add-on with the integration with Google Apps. In fact the closer you get to Google, no doubt the more likely your VC investors get their big bang when Google buys you. :) Then we probably all leave to the next new thing.. LOL.
