Allow a contact to be associated with multiple companies
I deal with contacts that are associated with multiple companies. It would be helpful to be able to represent that reality in Nimble.
We implemented this feature. Now you’re able to store multiple title/company records per contact, as well as store years of employment, past/present places. Similar to LinkedIn work history.

This is important to me, because I deal with a lot of Angel Investors, VCs, Startups entrepreneurs, business owners, all of whom have multiple companies attached to a single person. So it would be awesome to be able to properly serve this market :D
Thanks!

I don't know if this is still under review but please reconsider! I think Nimble could be a great tool to help us see all the connections between companies and people and deeply understand them. So building this among other is really important! 500 votes say it is!

If I was able to see only ONE thing about a person, it would probably be all the companies they are associated with (and maybe how they are associated). Frankly it's a bit weird that I have to pick just one.

The last update to this question was posted a year ago. Possible that a Nimble representative could provide an update to all of us eagerly awaiting this feature? Thanks :D

For contacts who leave one company and join another, as long as you do not delete the email address of the first company you should still be able to see all communications when you move him/her to the next company - Could Nimble Support confirm this please.
But there is a very basic requirement to be able to associate one contact with many companies, for a variety of reasons. There should be one primary company which the contact is 'Linked' to and the ability to 'Associate' the contact with various secondary companies. A simple ont to many relationship in the database, it can't be that hard to do.......

Many of our contacts are non executive board directors on multiple companies. We really need to be able to attach these contacts to multiple companies.

Consultants work for multiple companies - this seems to obvious for a 2013 CRM I can't see why it is missing, especially since this claims to be a social network CRM! Zoho are building it and also Salesforce. Come on Nimble, be nimble!

That's a shame. Many people like me work or are associated with many organisations. That's why the call it a Social Network and not a Social Pyramid!!! Tags are a workaround but many-to-many relationship between Organisations and Contacts would have been better - ala Insightly. Cool product though - keep up the good work!

Same applies for groups and products with their social connectors. e.g. it is not uncommon for a product or event series or group or community to have their own presence on twitter, facebook pages and linkedin groups so the company can communicate appropriately to their various client segments.

I note this is also an issue with salesforce.com and they have a long thread with hundreds of uers saying it is important for various use cases. They have also just committed resources to addressing it. https://sites.secure.force.com/success/ideaView?id=08730000000BrBSAA0

This is a must-have feature, I have lots of contacts that are connected to multiple companies & organisations - CRM without this feature is not truly CRM...!

This would also capture their non-profit association connections, their board seats, and so on.
