Google Drive Integration
Nimble now has an integration with Dropbox and we are looking at other cloud storage options to add to the list. Please vote on this thread if you want the ability to use Google Drive to attach documents to contacts in Nimble.
Hi,
I have great news to share today – we now support Google Drive file attachments in Nimble.
You may attach files to Deals or Contacts.
To attach to a Contact, select “Attach File” and “Attach from Google Drive” to authorize yourself to your Dive account, then select your files!

To attach to a specific Deal, select “Attach from” and choose “Google Drive”. Then authorize, and select your files.

We are gathering feedback on this feature here:

If you have any questions relating to set up, please email care@nimble.com.
Best regards,
Joseph

Great suggestion- being able to upload then quickly rifle through service orders, emails, and social in one place would be great!

If I had to choose, I'd vote for Dropbox over Google Apps for document storage/linking.

We would love to be able to link deals and contacts with documents. Pinning letters to customers so that the team can see any direct mail that was sent to a contact would be useful when reviewing a contacts record.

It's important to be able to see the details of a proposal connected to a deal. Proposals are generally documents, so would be good to be able to either attach a document, or at least link to a document in Dropbox.

This should first be done in Google Apps Docs not Dropbox first. Most of already pay for that...

Adding documents to deals will allow Nimble to be taken seriously at Enterprise level. We already have requests for this and some of our prospects are considering more than 20 licenses. The fight for this type of business would definitely be with a big CRM vendor, and all of them have this feature.

This would be good - in addition to Google Docs I'd like to be able to add any files that I like (including from Dropbox with an easy integration/plugin). Tx

Wrike and WORKetc do this already, so it must not be that hard?

Re would really, really, really appreciate that feature. Meeting notes are in Gdocs right for our team, having them attached to those meeting would be perfect. Do.com does that pretty well...

I would guess this is coming, but until it does I propose a slight work around that I've been using. When I have a deal with documents attached I create a collection in my google docs account, share the collection with "everyone in my domain with a link", and then paste the link into the deal (actually in several places ) and into the client company's description.
What would work as a short term improvement to this would be to create a field in Deals that is link-able. Right now my work around amounts to several clicks or copy and pastes.
But, yeah, add my vote to having a direct link to Google Docs.

+1 Google Doc Integration. MavenLink does a really good job of this. Something similar would be great.

I'd appreciate being to access files in dropbox or box.net.

+1 for Google Docs integration, which can store any file I want, plus allow for collaboration with team members through a single interface.

+1 for Google Docs integration and ability to attach them to deals. We write most of our proposals and contract sin Google Docs

An integration with Google Documents would be a relevant feature :)
