contact categorization and source information
I use Nimble for job search. I find that it is very useful for me to categorize my contacts in two ways:
1, with a category number. This is what needs to be done. For instance, need to make initial contact, need to meet, need to respond immediately, need to nurture, etc. This is better than just a task as people tend to drop off the list if only a task.
2. need a field for the source of the contact. for instance you meet with Betty and she makes an intro to John. It's helpful to record that.
THEN it would be wonderful to have a graphical interface of the relationship links such as in linkedin inmaps or nodexl
I have both items in an excel spreadsheet an map them using nodexl

You can categorize your contacts by source and category by using the custom fields feature in Nimble.
To access this feature, go to Settings >> Data Fields in Nimble and you’ll be all set!
