Add tags or categories to deals
Right now deals are pretty basic. For a proper usage I would recommend to add categories or tags to deal to sort them properly. Tags could be products or events or whatever :)

Looks like we can add Tags to Deals, but there is no place to actually see those tags - even in an export of deals?!

Please consider color coding each deal based on the customization of each Category. Similar to Categories in Microsoft Outlook. This will give you a quick snapshot of your categories when looking at the Deals Pipeline view.

We have updated our addon that adds custom fields to Deals - http://www.tai.st/addons/taist-nimble-deal-custom-fields: now you can add multiple fields to the Deals.
It should now work better than tags - you will not get single mess of "Banking", "Online Ads" and "Accounting services" but separate, well-structured fields "Industry", "Lead source" and "Product".

From my experience tags are only a partial solution - you usually need pretty specifc fields like "Product", "Industry", etc.
And we have created a solution for that: we create Taist - a platform that allows to extend cloud applications with "addons", and we have created the first version of a custom fields for Nimble.
Now it implements "Industry" field for Deals where you set the list of industries yourself.
Please have a look and try it here: http://www.tai.st/addons/taist-nimble-deal-custom-fields. It just works out of the box - when you activate it from our website, a new field appears in Nimble Deals. We use browser extension for that.
We are now extending it to allow using any name and using several custom fields at once.
So if need some specific cases please post them just here or in comments to the addon - we will try to implement them as well. -

I have to agree that tagging deals is very important for organizing and sorting deals by product, service, salesperson, team, etc.
So far every feature that is missing I want to vote for, the voting is closed

Since deals are so limited, adding a tag is huge. If your company only has one item, and only one sales process, and only one way of doing one thing, its fine. However your system is so "nimble!" deals are terribly awkward. Simply having more pipelines or only tags would let you use deals to represent projects, support cases and deals! thats a lot of bang for one text tag.

Adding the ability to TAG deals would enable us to track products associated with deals

please add tags to deals as a way of tracking source as at the moment we can't quantify which marketing ROI

Tags for deals is big. I would guess that the low number of votes for pipeline features is because people are also dumping Nimble for services like Pipedrive, Contactually, Pipeline deals, Streak, etc once they realize that you don't have multiple pipelines or tags for pipelines. Bottom line - Please don't read the lack of votes as a lack of interest.

One of my customers is a manufacturer. They would like to differentiate between deal types so that Production gets visibility into future Sales. Is there a way to make a product category come out in the sales forecast (the best workaround we thought of was by using a tag, but even that isn't ready yet)

Tags would be a great feature, fully support it

Any update here? If you cannot organize deals with custom fields then its a must with tags. Otherwise will never function for larger business with multiple or complex deals.
