Add the ability to set specific contacts as private
Sales staff should be able to "protect" their contacts from other sales people from getting deleted, used, shared, etc.
Admins should be able to create a contact then share with particular people of their choice (creating a custom territory for their sales team).
Admin needs more control and 'management' features over team.
ALSO... contacts need to backed up incase they get deleted, in general.... having to update an exported CSV routinely and run the risk of all public contacts among my team will cause me to choose another CRM as we grow.
We now have a privacy feature. You can set granular permissions on the contacts for reading and writing and share contacts with individual team members and groups.

P.S. Something else that makes us hesitant to adopt Nimble is the fact that this capability has not been added DESPITE numerous requests for it, as well as the fact that it's been four months since anyone from the company provided an update on this capability. This is so frustrating given how good this product is otherwise.

Like so many others, I think Nimble is far away the best unified InBox, communications platform, CRM system available EXCEPT FOR its rudimentary privacy controls. I say that after spending an entire week doing nothing other than evaluating the various options available. Unfortunately, I don't think we can adopt Nimble until it provides our users to control who sees what within their account. As others have noted, with an app that is meant to bring everything together in one place, you'd think this capability would have been built in from the start...

The ability to "make private" contacts from FB/Twitter/etc makes Nimble something I can use all day...instead of just for a part of my communications. The lines between business and personal are very blurred these days and would love to filter work/team contacts and personal contacts.
Please consider escalating this request to the Top 3.

This seems to be an issue for over a year. Doesn't look like you guys are working on it at all. Nimble seems that it was designed for 1 single user rather than multiple users. Might have to search for other CRM platforms. This sucks because we had our team spend (wasted time) learning how to use it.

I have evaluated several other CRM systems for my small (10 user) business - Nimble really fits the bill in terms of vision to bring multiple social streams to a common dashboard - congrats on that. I will be implementing this week, on the basis that I believe you do intend to address what I agree is a fundamental issue, that is, to provide the Administrator with Admin Rights to restrict users from having "carte blanche" access to everything. For my own part, I certainly need to restrict some users from deleting Customer (company) records, from downloading data to a CSV (or any other format) and possibly restricting visibility of certain records, perhaps by use of intelligent tagging.
I will personally be importing contact data from 3 different product sets, where some customers cross over and some do not. I will be setting up tagging rules, but I really don't want anyone else but me to be able to remove "standard" tags - by all means allow them to create their own tags for slicing and dicing data views for their own use, but there must be a standard view, with standard tags that other users cannot change or delete.
Again, congrats on a really good system, we will work with Nimble as it develops. -

You have to be KIDDING ME! I found out after the fact that all users have access to all contacts of every user in the system. This is the most asinine thing anyone has ever imagined in a CRM for Corporate use!
We were all ready to switch to Nimble. Overall is is the most awesome CRM we have ever seen. We were ready to pull the trigger until I found out that all agents have access to everyone's contacts after we had connected Nimble to all of our contact sources.
I have to say it again...YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!. I immediately went into my office and pulled the plug on Nimble and removed the other users.
Come on. No company will use your software as it is designed to be used without this feature. I cannot believe the company answer to this question was, "We have other feature requests that are higher in priority".
This should be your only priority is you want business customers.

Same as for Megan... and certainly many others... since managing a sales team means, by now, having internal and external individuals, as well as getting people focused on their pipe...
I will there use your solution to clean up and aggregate on a lead generation basis... but can't allow everyone in the team to get the full picture... for the above reasons and a few others...
Therefore i will get 1 licence instead of 5... pity for you but for us as well... since i definitely find your solution as one of the most advanced in the market.
Looking forward to new developments :)

I can't use Nimble for my team until this feature is implemented. Maybe you can let me know if that happens, and if I'm not happy with my other CRM, I can switch.

WOW - Are all of Nimble's own founders' & admin's contacts shared with all the contractors & interns in your own internal Nimble system?
Sorry, but most businesses have a real need to protect certain sensitive contacts (investors, potential hires, bank contacts, lawyers, etc) and it would be absolutely unacceptable to leave that information out in the open for all to see.
I hope something is in the works right now because this is what you call a SHOW STOPPER on an otherwise well thought out system.
