send notice to contact when event is created
This would eliminate the step of having to then log in to my Gmail account and sending the invite. Would be nice have that contact notification streamlined when I create an event/appointment that involves them.

Hi, I think when you create an event and add a contact it automatically notified the contact. My issue is I'd like to schedule project activities against contacts and NOT NOTIFY them.
