Customize Today Page
The Today Page should be completely customizable, from choice of widgets to filters to inform Nimble what to include inside each widget. Furthermore, once an action is completed, it should be eliminated from the Today screen (or an option to leave it crossed off).
You may now customize your Today Page with our new redesign!

I'm a new user doing a trial. Three days in and my dashboard is filled with engagement opportunities from a bunch of fake women profiles on twitter because those people followed me. I haven't engaged with them. They (as far as I know) have none of the keywords I use. I thousands of contacts imported from Google and LinkedIn CSV. You guys also have my email. Giving me Twitter spam followers as my "home" for your app does not give me the feeling that you are using any type of intelligence to help me drive my day. I'm considering looking at your competitors because this is such a turnoff.

For us it would be great for tasks and agenda items to be listed on the Today page, not just a link to them. This does nothing http://prntscr.com/7o4h0z - I might as well click on the activities link direct in the menu. I should be able to see tasks due/overdue listed for me and optionally my team. On hover overview of the task and the ability to mark it as complete from the Today page.

I think that workspace (at least dushboards) is something that MUST be flexible.
The first questions my team mates asked was "what is Engagement Opportunities From Important Contact"? This is 100% optional feature.
Together with "Other Engagement Opportunities" it takes 70% of the board...come on... -

agreed - would love to see this!

Why is voting closed? It took a year for this obvious need to get attention and now we can't vote on it any longer

Yesss! The whole left side of the dashboard is basically worthless as it is and I get no value out of the dashboard today. I want to more easily see tasks, deal summaries, what is behind on follow ups, etc. Like a true CRM dashboard instead of the focus on social stuff that does not even show up with LinkedOut and a complete lack of desire to connect Facebook for business use. Please make Nimble more business functional!!

Please update this feature, so we can fully utilize the dashboard home page. This would be so wonderful to be able to get an accurate view ahead of the day to day to allow for strategic planning and resource allocation!

Hi - I absolutely agree. This Today screen is useful only for a narrow segment of users as it stands. While the concept of putting important contacts in front of the user automatically is a good one in principle, the results may not always be meaningful. Users should be able to choose to put a manually generated list on this page, e.g. a list based on some saved search or starred contacts.
More broadly, users should be able to put whatever they want on this overview / fusion page. A window into most recent messages, most urgent tasks/events, and top contacts (however defined) would be get my vote, where user can toggle, resize and configure these separate panes at will.

I should also be able to mark an item as "read" and likewise it is greyed out or hidden. The today screen is getting very busy and I want to see new or important (which is what today is all about) items at a glance without having to remember or re-process in the information.

Totally agree, Neal. I'm looking at adopting Nimble for a team in which each person's role varies quite a bit. While we want to keep our contacts all in one place, each team member should be able to customize his or her dashboard such that only updates from their relevant contacts appear. For example, the PR team member should be able to customize so that she only receives updates from reporters. The social media team member should, likewise, be able to customize her dashboard such that she only receives updates from influencers in the social sphere, etc.

I also would like to request longer displayed names for companies.

i agree with this. Gmail brings emails only, helpful to be able to see the company in the email address rather than just their clipped off name

Sorry, I wasn't thinking when I wrote this. Birthdays are, of course included on the Today page (thanks!) but there will always be other things I'd rather have there than my current deals status - for example recent mentions in social media.
