1. Have an alert bar for service outages

   Have a status/alert bar whenever there is a known service issue so that you don't get multiple users all reporting the same problem. That way the user community knows there is a problem or has an idea of the ETA for when it will be resolved. Having it it yellow highlighter or in a color border box or something that draws attention would be even better.

2. display custom fields in more than a list

   Currently when I setup new tabs in the data fields section whenever I add groups and custom fields it only displays in one long list. It would be great if I could create 2 columns or even blocks of content.

6. PF tax exemption

   Clearing the air on taxing provident fund withdrawals, the government on Tuesday said PPF withdrawals will continue to be fully exempt from tax and only interest accruing after April 1 on 60 per cent of the contributions made to Employee Provident Fund will be taxed.

   All contributions and interest accrued to employee provident fund (EPF) before April 1, 2016, will not attract any tax on withdrawal. Withdrawal of principal amount contributed to EPF after April 1 would also remain exempt from any tax.

   It is only the interest on contributions made after April 1, 2016 which will be taxed, Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia told PTI in an interview here.

   “There is no change in the status of public provident fund (PPF). EEE (tax exempt at the time of contribution, tax exempt on returns and tax exempt on withdrawals) scheme will continue for PPF,” he said. “There is no 40 per cent limit on PPF. It will be 100 per cent exempt“.

   Mr. Adhia said out of the 3.7 crore active contributors in EPF, about 70 lakh corporate sector employees with high salary would be impacted by the proposed taxation of EPF interest on withdrawal.

   “There are about 3 crore people whose monthly income is less than Rs 15,000. They are called eligible members of EPF.

   For this 3 crore people, there is going to be no change in status of taxation. They can withdraw their 100 per cent corpus when they retire without any taxes,” Adhia said, adding that the distinction would be made clear in the notification.

   The Budget 2016-17 proposed to tax interest on 60 per cent of EPF withdrawal. However, the withdrawn amount would be totally tax exempt if it is re-invested in annuity pension products.

   “The purpose is not to mobilise revenue. We want people to move towards a pension society. So we have given another incentive wherein the investment in annuity product will be tax exempt. Annuity product was always taxable. But here, even after death of a person when the money is transferred to legal heir, we have made it tax exempt,” Mr. Adhia explained.

8. New ssd reinstall of w10 and odrive - need to point to second drive of storage

   Hi
   My previous setup had os and odrive on boot drive but odrive storage pointed to a large second drive. I am doing a clean install of W10 and odrive to a new ssd but want to carefully have odrive point to to large storage drive. There only seems to be an option to “move” odrive, when I am really looking to simply point to the previous location.

    My grandkids just gave my wife a Google Home mini for Christmas.
    Any ideas which Smart Lights bulbs work with it?

    I see the sell GE bulbs with the hubs, but was wondering what the selection really is.

    BTW, the Google hub tells me it takes the blame for passing gas.

14. trying to get into mining crypto

    Hello everyone,

    Newb here. I tried searching the topics to see if my question came up and it doesn't appear so. Please bare with me I am new to linux.

    I am trying to learn how to mine crypto and using various instructional sources I seem to not get anywhere. From what I understand CGminer is the best software but I am not sure. At the moment I just want to be able to get my head wrapped around it but first I need the software in order to play around with it.

    Can someone help me out?

15. I want to create a streaming to my wordpress, how to do that?

    Without Youtube, twitch etc.

    I see at OBS there's a "custom server" in the stream option. I want to do that.

    I read about WpStream, but they are expensive, so I wonder if I can make this cheaper? There's several websites that provide RDP with unlimited bandwidth and high speed internet connection, I wonder if I can use them in creating a custom server and stream through OBS from them? because my own upload speed is not good.

    I also have a VPS not sure how I can use it in all of this as well? would a VPS be enough? or RDP is better? or I should have both?

    Can someone put me on the right track here please?

    Min Hyorin revealed once she actually had surgery on her eyelids and I was surprised because unlike most surgery on eyes that end to basically make the eyelids twins, hers are actually quite different to each other and was following each of her eye shapes rather than trying to copy the right to the left. Most eyelid surgeries really looked like it has been tweaked but hers looks natural. Such decisions by the surgeon shows skills and art that just makes something look natural, which is easier said than done.
    Joo E from Momoland have said that she had nose surgery, particularly on the bone between her eyes which people were surprised because they actually thought that's her original nose. She did complain that because it didn't enhance her nose dramatically no one actually believed her when she had she already had surgery. Yet looking at her pictures, seems that her dr was only accentuating her nose that fits her whole face instead of just have her nose high. I think the dr made the right choice because dear God she looks so natural.
    I think Suju Kyuhyun had one of the prettiest eyelid surgery. It really changes his whole feature, soften his face a lot. They didn't do anything dramatic and I applaude the dr for doing the eye shape that compliments the entire facial feature.

    I think plastic surgeons that does great surgeries to deserve recognitions. Its not actually easy to make changes that doesn't feel like an alien on natural faces.

20. OT Some interesting thoughts from Real Estate Investors Conference

    This was a real estate investors conference where nationally known people came to sell their wares. Many very experienced and knowledgeable people were there as well as newbies. However, 85% of the courses offered would probably not help most people because they wouldn't be able to execute what they were instructed.

    1. One of the vendors had a girl friend who was a realtor. She is telling him that hedge funds are buying real estate willy nilly, not having any real idea of what they are buying. Also, they are only seeking returns in the 5% range which doesn't give them much room for error. Lots of room here for a big, negative explosion.

    2. At a meeting for very experienced investors, many people thought that the reason there hasn't been greater rise in interest rates was that the velocity of money was low.

    3. At the same investors meeting virtually all thought that substantial inflation was baked into the system and that it was foolish not to get loans at low rates and leverage your investments.

    Myself, I think there is a substantial chance of a harmful rise in interest rates in the next 18 months which could implode the real estate market. I have a decent amount of cash available if that were to happen.
