Our customers are serviced based, with a long sale cycle that often takes up to 2 years to complete and can involve many people. Right now we have no way of view the correspondence of staff to customers in one place, which was a very key reason to move to a new CRM program such as Nimble.
Having only 3 months back to start with severely limits the efficiencies we were hoping for at the start, since it will take upwards of 2 years before we can stop looking back at the old email/CRM system for that historical info.
Honestly even if there was a one time extra import fee (reasonable) it would be worth it for us.
