Credit Card - or not?
I was speaking to a Car Dealer a few days ago and he was telling me that two major dealerships have now joined what they are terming the "Martin Lewis Effect" in banning the acceptance of credit cards in any transactions for their car sales. A considerable number of independents had already done this following what they describe as ludicrous 'hand back' of cars after years of use with following decisions seeming to favour the punter rather than the dealer. Of course this is one side of the story. He hasn't accepted CC for over a year now and has…

Add a 'Task Manager' dashboard widget to see all team contacts in workflows & deals without an upcoming task/event scheduled
Create a widget on the dashboard that can allow us to see, at a glance, any and all contacts in existing workflows and deals that have no upcoming task/activity scheduled. This way we know who is in-process but not being followed up with and no one slips through the cracks.

Tabbing between software causes crash
Hi All,
I'm having a recurring problem that is causing a major headache and I would be very grateful for any advice.
For your reference, details of my system below
Media Composer 2021.6.0
OS X 11.4
2.9ghz 6-Core
32GB DDR4 RAM
Radeon Pro 560x 4GB
(My preference woud have been not to upgrade to Big Sur but unfortunately this system came pre-loaded with it. So downgrading to a previous version of OSX is possible but a bit of a fraught process. Would rather avoid if possible.)
In general I'm getting great performance inside Avid, everything works great…

High alcohol wines and aging
We opened a Clos st Jean CDP 2016 yesterday and it was the most alcoholic wine I may have ever tasted. Kind of bummed we have 3 more of these.
My CT Review:
In the mountains of Colorado, they have a party rig called a shot-ski (pronounces “shotsky”) where they have a ski with holes in it that they place shot glasses. This wine would be a good choice for said shot glasses given the amount of alcohol it has.
16% ABV and you feel it as it goes down. Maybe things will get better as it ages or maybe…1 vote -
2013 equinox questions
i have the 2013 ecotec 2.4 lae engine. and as you know they burn oil like a sub. well, i tore it down put in new cast rings and rod bearings plus seals. plus i added a normal pvc system. one thing i also did that i may have to take away is i cleaned out the pvc that sets on the intake at the head. i drilled it then next size larger. now i see that just having this factory system working might be the oil burning issue. plus i read that the timing chain tensioner may leak as…

The Christmas Brisket Gift
Each year at Christmas time, I cook up some briskets and give them away as Christmas gifts. I can find nice briskets trimmed to a 1/4 at my local H-E-B and they are about $30 to $40 depending on the size. This year, as my Big Green Eggs are out of commission due to an outdoor kitchen project, I used my Ironwood 885 and I think I have it down pretty well now.
It's not an expensive gift, but one that requires effort, forethought, planning, and some Que skill. The end results are pretty cool as it's an unexpected type…

Public pressure washing stations?
So my car is pretty filthy right now and I'm somewhat reluctant to try and wash it using my usual routine in our current sub zero temperatures. I wash it in the road, quiet road but still, I don't want to get a load of water all over the road, pavement e.t.c. and have myself or a pedestrian slip over or even cause an icy patch for an accident.
I notice in Germany, you can't drive 100mm without hitting a petrol station and lots seem to have detailing type bays with pressure washers, vacuums e.t.c. attached like we have air…

Czar Central Update
Just to let you know that Brisbane has had some serious flooding since Friday and much of the city/suburbs are locked off due to rising floodwaters.
It shoud settle down over the next few days but as of today many of our team are isolated and unable to get to work. While many can work from home, our logistics personnel need to get to the office to ship. I suspect shipping this week may be put back a few days.
I will update the situation tomorrow. Thank you for your understanding.

Church keeps talking about money
2 years ago my church was much smaller, never talked about money, and preached straight from the Bible. I remember being refreshed by large portions of the sermons being read directly from the Word. Now things seem different. The church is growing LARGE, has a new BIG worship center (financed), and seems to talk about money and tithing a lot more while always mentioning how "generous" our church is. It is starting to set off red flags for me...
For at least the past 4 services my church has been asking/talking about money. A few weeks ago they had someone…

Sealing a standard trash can for a DC cyclone
Somewhere, can't find it anymore, I saw a recommendation to use a translucent trash can for a cyclone dust bin. I'll be using a Super Dust Deputy.
Here is the link to the can & lid that I found: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/con...TCKIT32CL.html
My concern is that the lid, like any other commercial can, is not going to be a tight fit. Are there any good solutions to sealing this can up, or should I look for a different option for a bin?
Couple ideas have been thin foam weatherstripping around the top of the can, or on the inside of the lid;…
