add feature to detect suspected duplicates automatically.
This is a must-have. Gimp has this feature. With over a thousand contacts (and broken navigation - about to file a bug over that) it is prohibitively difficult to find and merge duplicates.

Hi Support, the current duplicate detection algorithm inhibits saving of identified items if the items are equal on name and last name, but different in other fields. This is a fatal bug, it means that you can only have ONE Jon Miller in the contacts database... no matter if there are thousands of different Jon Millers out there...
