Need so we can send appropriate emails based on attributes of the contact. For example, on their birthday, we want to send pre-formatted "Happy Birthday" message that is different from the "Happy Anniversary" or "Congratulations on the new job" message.

Allow email templating, and at the same time, you solve the "multiple email signature" that most of us are requiring... very needed in these days as most of us are involved and active in a mix of activities / organizations.

If you want to me to truly "live" in Nimble... most def need email templates
everyone's got em' now... :)

New user here, and was sufficiently disappointed to see no canned responses which is why I came to this forum. It simply slows our work day down without a set of responses and also keeps messages consistent throughout the company. Must have feature. Without this I will probably go elsewhere and keep hunting for a well rounded CRM. I encourage you to add this feature.

Agree on having templates available. Since Nimble can be used for a sales system, it will likely get used to perform the traditional "new business farming" aka telemarketing efforts. In that environment one is attempting to move quickly and templates would be a great way to accomplish this.

Many of the other CRM (not necessarily sCRM) systems provide this feature and it is a real benefit.

Possibly review some of the Google Mail add-in tools to integrate with.

I use an add-in in Google called "Canned Responses". It does a nice job but not having to jump over to google to use a template would be a bit easier.

I see the group messages now.. Template will be even better with group messages.

How about integrating with Yesware or Toutapp ?

I hope you guys would still look at the email template thing. I use KarmaCRM now, and the email templates there are awesome. I have have about 10 different templates set up for different situations. It helps me speed through the workflow. You guys should check it out. It is good for one off emails, that can be edited just before sending. KarmaCRM lacks other features, but this one is really helpful

I love the metaphor!

We are still looking into adding template systems to Nimble, but we still don't have an expected release date at this time.

If you are a Gmail user, there are extensions that allow you to store canned responses if you go to the "Labs" function in Gmail's settings. If you use canned responses from Gmail and have your Gmail account connected to Nimble, your conversations will be recorded in Nimble and assigned to the contact record in Nimble as well.

If you are an Outlook user, you can create templates in Outlook and your emails will also sync to Nimble, as long as you are connected to the same IMAP account.

I know these workarounds don't resolve the request of having templates built into Nimble, but I hope these options help out.

First, let me tell you that I am impressed with your service, congratulations with the great job!

Unfortunately, this email templates things is (a bit) disappointing. I clearly need a tool that allows me to send, not email campaigns (so no mailchimp) but personalized emails based on the same starting model.

I am currently doing a lot of phone calls to get new clients these days and having to do a copy-paste is very annoying, even more when you know that your team surely has the capacity to develop such a tool.

I am not an expert, but what I think is that a CRM tool should also be designed to get the work done faster in order to help us contact more leads everyday. Copy-paste is just a waste of time.

To illustrate the importance of this, my partner says that prospecting is like love: statistically, you are more likely to have a date if you seduce 50 women than 20. The same way with leads, it is more likely for us to get real clients if I am able to contact more leads. Thus, the rapidity of prospecting is very important.

You can possible use a feature such as boomerang which is currently available for Gmail, maybe Nimble can incorporate the same.

I so vote for email templates - shocked it's was not in the beta. I'm a old Goldmine 3.0 and 4.0 user looking for a new product.

Email Canned Responses:

Maybe an option in a users settings to launch GMail when attempting to send an Email. That way, the canned responses are available in Gmail and automatically reflected back in Nimble.

Nimble development, how about that option? Possible in short order?

MailChimp allows you to create templates within their system if you are sending out newsletters to your clients. MailChimp is designed more for email campaigns than mass messaging individuals that may be prospects.

If you plan on mass messaging your prospects, I recommend building templates on a word processor that's online (i.e. Google Drive) or offline (MS Word) and pasting those templates into the body of your outgoing emails.

Email templates. Must have for any serious CRM system. Does anyone know if integrating with MailChimp would solve this problem? That's my next step, but it would be nice if it were right in Nimble.

This is probably best done as a third-party integration -- something that works with Gmail could be made to work with Nimble as well with minimal effort.

Love to see this as well. An automated drip campaign inserted on new leads would be tremendously helpful.

If there were tighter integration with Mailchimp, that would solve this. But until then we absolutely need email templates that we can share across users/teams.

Yes, must have mail merge from all fields. Including custom fields. This is a must have. We currently cannot use Nimble until this is implemented.
