Critical feature that needs to be worked on. At very least you should respond to the communities concerns with a realistic timescale...

I agree with that. Only for this reason i left the Highrise, because after 3 years i dont think they built this tiny but important feauture.

Has this matter progressed since 2013? There appears to be two issues ? The first is to link a contact to several companies - for example they are a Director across several companies. So maybe a field/box for each company they are associated with. The other is to link a contact to a company without merging and thus losing their pre-existing details

Since there is no way to tie married folks together (and it's important to tie any folks living in the same household for mailing purposes), this would be a good alternative. We could use a second company field to connect people.

Yep this is an important feature conspicuously missing.

@Tina - I have just implemented the Tai.st add on to add custom fields to Nimble Deals and I am really impressed, not only with the fact that the Industry field works just like a native Nimble field, but also by the quick response of Tai.st to a couple of minor issues which I encountered when trying to add other fields.

Apparently Tai.st would be able to build an add on using their platform which would allow users to associate a Contact in Nimble with multiple companies. However they need to be sure that there is a demand for this - so if you are interested, I would go to http://www.tai.st/addons/taist-nimble-deal-custom-fields and post your interest in the Comments section there.

As co-founder of a start-up I appreciate the work involved with managing feature requests, but it would be great if you could update the status of these ideas (particularly where voting is closed). It's been now 2 years since you updated the status, and it would be great for businesses considering whether Nimble is a viable solution to understand which features are actually in the pipeline.

We can implement this feature without involving Nimble team: we create Taist - a platform that allows to extend cloud applications with "addons".

We have just created the first addon for Nimble that implements a custom field "Industry" for Deals in Nimble. It just works out of the box - when you activate it from our website, a new field appears in Nimble deals. We use browser extension for that.

Yes, this is a huge need. I have been creating a note and attaching the other company or companies to the note as 'related'., but this is a less than optimal solution.

I have this in quantities. This is a modern paradigm - people hold portfolio careers particularly at the top of the tree.Why have you closed voting - don't you want to appreciate this is a growing need?

We are having the same issue and desperately need a way to add multiple companies to one contact person. This is especially important in tracking deals specific to those individual companies. Any resolution as yet?

A recurring request, for several years now. Any update from Nimble? Our client Nature Meetings considering dropping Nimble and substitute for solution that does address this.

We work with IT contacts that in turn work with multiple companies. It would be nice to be able only to create one contact and attach that contact to multiple companies. Another case is where contacts literally work for multiple companies. I think there are enough comments here to warrant this request. Not so interested in past jobs but more current company affiliations with contacts, at least this would be a good first step.

When you build this, it would be great to include previous jobs and ideally capture that information from Linkedin. So in effect multiple companies of which some are active and some are no longer active.

Huge drawback. Just crazy that this isn't an option. Going to research other CRMs

Also throwing my support in for this, lots of people volunteer or have multiple companies and not being able to track that is a pretty big drawback.

I work with groups of companies and many of my contacts are board members of multiple companies. I really need to see all the companies related to a single person.
