make gmail gadget collapsed by default

Love new gmail gadget. But I see a small problem right now. When I expand conversations, gadget window opens for all of them and drags a bit on performance as it looks everything up. I wish by default gadget window was collapsed, and if I needed it, I can just click to expand it and THEN check/load content.

We developed a Google Chrome version of the Widget that is collapsable by default.

Please download it here: http://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nimble-contacts-widget-fo/dlnmhgbolfkjnmidmagihoglnglcghoc?hl=en&gl=US

We do not have plans to make the Google Apps version of the Widget collapsable in the near future, therefore, I recommend uninstalling that application from your Google Apps Domain Management page. Then, install the app to Chrome directly, from the link above.

    How do you disable the contact widget in Gmail? I have it, although I did not install the widget through Chrome webstore....

    This is expecially painful when google highlights a search term in every single message of a long thread.

    That is one issue that makes me want to ditch this widget entirely.
