Sync to google contacts
would love the ability to have a clean sync back to google contacts, or at least to the iphone.
Hi,
We’re happy to announce that we now have a solution for syncing with Nimble and Google Contacts. We developed this through a partnership with a great group of people from the PieSync team.
For Solo Users, this service is completely free of charge.
For Team Users, it is $5.00 per user, per month.
Feel free to visit the PieSync site to install the app and try it for 14 days!
To read more about the integration, please visit our blog post here.
If you have any specific feedback to leave for this feature, we will be monitoring here for feedback
Best regards,
Joseph

Joseph, how many votes and comments will this suggestion need just to get it on your roadmap?

Come on, this is the only reason why I am not comfortable to keep using Nimble. The lack of syncing with Google contacts make it a nightmare to organize them and create huge amount of double entry. Please put this on your TOP priority list. Thanks!

This would definitely be my number one priority (and even an auto sync one way from Google to Nimble would be a start). Thx. P

This is the ONLY reason for our company (and many others I have talked to) NOT to switch to Nimble.

Check out Zapier or IFTTT utilities. I use Zapier and it works nicely. Monitor Google Contacts (in my case in a special contact group) and push to Nimble when one is seen. Also set another zap in reverse, Nimble New to Google.
Have not checked on updates, etc. But something is better than nothing.

Very surprised this isn't a priority. Its been somewhat frustrating to add contacts into nimble then try to make a phone call on the road and realize I didn't duplicate the entry in google contacts. Has happened too many times. I believe you should reconsider.

I strongly recommend adding more robust sync to google contacts. I started using Nimble after reading that it might be added in the forums. In order to continue using this system our organization will have to have two way controllable sync to google contacts. Android app would help too, but not nearly as essential

Joseph, how can you not have this on your roadmap when it has been the most requested feature for over a year? This is a pretty major fail.

Hi Nimble users,
We have some good news for you today!
We are planning to develop a 2 way Google Sync with PieSync. We already developed this for Highrise - Google Apps. Show your interest here: http://www.piesync.com/google/nimble/
Thanks!

Sooooo important now. Hard for me to promote it in the startup scene without this. Thanks.

This is fantastic news! I run my life on Gmail but really believe in Nimble so am living a double life, so things will be SO much easier when there's a seemless link with Gmail contacts. A Nimble Android app wd also be v handy...

If it does sync to Google Apps Contacts properly, to the main Group (not a separate "Nimble" group) then any iPhone will sync anyway as it has built-in Google Sync support, or use CardDAV setting on the iPhone to sync contacts.

Dear nimble dev's,
Felipe is right: Q4 and nothing concrete abour your promised or, should i say "planned" google contacts sync and iphone app. This is ridiculous.
I enrolled with your business plan 6 month ago, being confident you confident you would bring us those before 2013.
you have a fantastic product, but pipelinedeals.com has mobile CRM and google contact sync! If it other have it, why does nimble not?
We are testing it right now.

We´re now at Q4. Is Iphone app ready? Will it sync with contacts on the iphone?
Will it be the bridge to sync with google?
My iphone contacts are synced to google. IF I update at the Iphone, Google is updated automatically. It would solve the problem as well. -

I think I'm one of the most vocal people for this issue, and even had a direct phone call with one of the leaders of Nimble. When is this feature coming out?
Pipelinedeals.com has a proper google contacts sync, complete two-way, not an import/export gimmick. It works well. Only thing they're missing is the social element where facebook/twitter/linkedin feeds are aggregated for a better snapshot of people.
Few problems caused by the lack of this google contact sync feature:
1. Every time a lead is added to nimble, I have to manually add it to google apps. Then google apps->iPhone sync happens. If I don't take the extra manual step, I don't have the phone # of the new lead.
2. When a user data is updated with a new email etc. I have to update it twice, Nimble & Google contacts.PipelineDeals.com managed to deliver this feature with the same $15/mth price plan. Where's Nimble's response?
Also note that I've emailed and challenged Pipelinedeals to provide a social media integration similar to Nimble's. If Pipelinedeals.com gets social media integration before Nimble gets the google two-way contact sync, guess where I am jumping to, and sending our customers to?

Frankly, this is a deal breaker for me. Without syncing to google apps, there is no reason to maintain two databases and create further confusion and chaos.

Giles,
Thank you for responding!
Google Contact sync (2-way) is extremely important to us as well.
Is Google Contact Sync on the Roadmap and if so, what is the target roll-out date?
Not to set the bar any higher but...
Will it be possible to not only sync contacts back and forth to Google contacts but to offer that sync across multiple Google accounts?
In other words, Contacts A, B and C should be synced to Google Account #1. Contacts D, E and F should be synced to Google Account #2.
:)

Gilles,
Thanks for addressing the Google Contact Sync questions from all users. I noticed that this response is a year old now, which has me concerned.Nimble is a Social CRM, right?
Social networking is driven by contacts, right?
The majority of requests that I have seen from users point to contact sync and integration to drive the core value of Nimble, right? But with all the new releases in the past 12 months, contact sync does not have a road map to share.
Contacts drive social networking, right?
What is the demographic of your target market? Majority SMB mobile users?
This should be a priority with expectations set. Once contact sync arrives, your business will blossom. -

Yep. I think it's essential for new contacts in Gmail, for example, to be synced automatically with Nimble - I shouldn't have to click "Import Contacts" at regular intervals.
