Open and Click Tracking
Opening and clicking of emails greatly signify engagement with your company and brand.
Companies like Marketo understand this. The more emails a person opens or clicks, the more of a hot lead they are, the higher they are scored. Knowing which leads are the hottest allows you to focus your marketing efforts on those people. It allows you to know which 20% to focus 80% of your effort on. Lead scoring allows your sales team to be as effective as possible; it saves them time and makes them much more productive. And open/click tracking is an easy-to-implement feature that gives your sales team the superpower to focus on only the hottest leads.

Furthermore, we cannot use your API for this purpose. Open tracking must be done using a single pixel graphic in the email. Third party click tracking is possible by creating links with that service and then pasting them into Nimble -- but this is tedious. The links have to originate from Nimble to be an easy, painless process.
I'm posting this again because the previous feature request for this was declined, with no reason given. This is a huge mistake. This is an easy-to-implement feature (i'm a web application developer) that offers incredible value.
Nimble now features Open & Click tracking via our Group Messages feature.

I appreciate you sharing those advice. Actually, the last one is literally about me. When I've earned a sizable sum of money, it can be difficult to stop gambling. Every time I begin playing at johnny kash kings https://kingjohnnie-casino.com/kash-kings-vip-program/, I am completely absorbed. I suppose the final advice is the one one I've never used. I guess it's finally time. Anyway, I appreciate you sharing! These guidelines are crucial for beginners. Additionally, though it should go without saying, establish your own plan.

"We will be adding individual message tracking in a future update, this is on our Q1 roadmap." from December 2015. It's Q3 2017 now. Any progress as I was about to sign-up, but it's a bit pointless without this critical feature and I don't want to be forced to us an inferior system because of one missing (but vital) feature.

I like this feature but I feel it really does not work as well as it should do. For example, if I reply to a tracked email in my outlook it again shows that the email was read even though it was me. We use Sidekick for outlook and it is able to differ between me opening it or recipient. Will this feature be better streamlined in the future as I find it quite useless in it current state as it does not provide any realistic open rates. I also find it very frustrating having to go through all of my group messages to find if a person has opened my email.

I love this feature accept I get desktop notifications that say my client opened the meial even when it was me who opened it.

Hi Razva,
We will be adding individual message tracking in a future update, this is on our Q1 roadmap.

Great, but what about tracking individual messages? I'm trialing AgileCRM also and they have e-mail tracking by default, but still your product "feels" better. We're coming from Streak because it's too limited, and individual e-mail tracking was huge for us.

I knocked together a simple PHP script to do this on any HTML enabled email client.
Note:
-it doesn't have a complete user interface or installation script.
-you need have FTP access to your hosting domain
-it is not securebut does work surprisingly well.
There are plans to make it a nice interface, etc. but not for a while.
Let me know if you are interested.

Hi, my work-around is to use Gmail to send emails and use Contact Monkey to track emails sent via Gmail. Anything I want tracked I send through Gmail. And emails sent via Gmail get sync'd to Nimble. Hope this helps. PS. Having tracking within Nimble would be great, but I see there are other priorities.

Any updates on either in house tracking, or tying in with a 3rd party service like Yesware, Hubspot's Sidekick, or Mailtrack.io would greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Contact Monkey no longer has Nimble integration ... even though they have a video on their website showing it.
My frustration is that my company uses Microsoft Exchange ... and I am unable to leverage the "Last contacted feature" and cannot track open and click throughs when emails are sent from my corporate Outlook 2011 profile.
I am open to any suggestions or updates that will help Nimble adapt to IT departments who still use Microsoft ... Wait a second ... That's most all of them (for now at least).

The Contact Monkey app did integrate within nimble to provide email open and click tracking. I heard they were updating the adding but haven't heard if its gone live again. Contact Monkey still tracks emails sent from gmail, which I use for email creation.

Interesting response. In fact, I have been trialling Nimble along with a couple of other similar platforms and this response has helped me make the decision NOT to go with Nimble. Thanks.
Understanding whether a contact is responding to what you are sending is a key element. It tells me if what I am doing is off base or having some impact. I don't want to appear to spam contacts and by understanding opens and clicks helps. Sure, I could try and integrate into an email tool that does this but then might as well use that tool instead.

ContactMonkey's smart email tracking service was just integrated with Nimble. This new integration enables you to see all the emails you've sent to a Nimble contact and which ones were opened, how many times, where and using which device. These insights help you determine which leads are hot and when to follow up to close the deal. You can learn more here - http://www.nimble.com/how-it-works/integrations/contactmonkey. Ping me with any questions at scott@contactmonkey.com.

I like the idea a lot - tout integration would be really cool. Never having used this - am quite excited about the opportunities. I also like that tout integrates with Exchange... :-)

Seems like there may be three distinct suggestions here:
1. Individual email tracking (a la toutapp)
2. Bulk email tracking (two way Mailchimp integration)
3. Lead scoringAll good ideas, IMO. We really like the Gmail integration so would prefer a solution that does not require switching to a new email client (if I understand toutapp correctly.) And lead scoring would appear to be a larger feature set than just scoring on the basis of individual email opens/clicks. We'd love to see a full set of customizable scoring attributes for all types of engagement and actions.
Thanks Nimblers. We appreciate that you've got a lot of good ideas to sift through.

I completely agree with Marshall on this. The social features of Nimble allow us to be more present in our conversations with our customers, but without some kind of scoring/tracking system the entire process is still a tedious, manual one full of followups and guesses.
The implementation doesn't need to be overly complicated like Salesforce. You have done a great job of distilling and implementing the best CRM/Contact Management/Social features so far and I believe you could do the same with lead scoring/tracking.
If it's not in the cards, then more integration options to this end would be fantastic.

This is not the same as two way data flow with Mailchimp.
Mailchimp's tracking is not a substitute for open and click tracking. I don't want to send out email campaigns and track them. I want to send single emails to people, and then track them, so I can pay closer attention to the people that open and click my emails.
Many people don't understand the power of this because they haven't experienced it before in a CRM. But lead scoring and measuring lead engagement are the future of sales & marketing.
I realize that Nimble surveyed people and asked what they were interested in, and lead scoring / marketing automation were options. If people didn't vote for this, it's because *they don't realize the value of it.* Nimble, you need to be a little more visionary! Your top executives need to study marketing automation solutions like Marketo and Silverpop. They understand the future of Customer Relations. I'm not sure Nimble does.

Isn't this the same as the "Two way data flow for Mailchimp" suggestion? http://nimble.uservoice.com/forums/126687-nimble/suggestions/3107632-two-data-flow-from-mailchimp-would-be-a-nice-touch
Given that Mailchimp is already partially integrated, I'd favor expanding that integration over new API's to other email blast providers.
We're not a mailchimp user now, but for the huge benefit of integrating opens/clicks within Nimble, we'd gladly make the switch.
